Coded Wire Tag-associated effects were examined in wild and captive Nephrops. No negative effects were seen on mortality or growth. Tags moved inside the body in ∼23% of cases. Tag movement was consistent across sex, growth and activity level (captive/wild). Tags were retained through a single moult but may be lost after more than one moult.
