MSWI bottom ash for thermal energy storage: An innovative and sustainable approach for its reutilization

The waste revalorization allows reducing the system cost and offer reutilization.

Different size fraction of weathered bottom ash from the incineration were analysed.

Physicochemical and thermophysical characterization was performed for 6 sample size WBA.

The highest energy density was 1461.2 kJ m−3·K−1 for the 1–2 mm fraction.

Residue low-cost and high production rate makes WBA attractive for reutilization.
