Implementation of diffusion and electrostatic forces to produce a new slip velocity in the multiphase approach to nanofluids

A new slip velocity between nanoparticles and base fluid was developed. The results were validated with experimental measurements for alumina-water nanofluid. The new approach and conventional slip mechanism in CFD software were compared. Electrostatic, gravity and thermophoresis slip mechanisms are important for nanofluids modelling. Electric double layer slip mechanism can be considerable when vol. fraction is higher than 1%.
