Two new deep seismic profiles have investigated crustal-scale hydrothermal paleofields emplaced during the W-Au-Sb metallogenic epoch between 300 and 320 Ma in Limousin (French Massif Central). The first cuts across the Argentat Fault, a major channel-way, and the second runs through the Meuzac antiform, the main goldfield in the area. Particular features observed on each profile (transparent seismic zone, crustal scale discontinuities) confirm the different behaviors of structures and geological formation during this mineralizing period.
