A novel copper ions ratiometric fluorescence sensor was fabricated by integrating rhodamine fluorophore (RL) and CdTe@SiO2 QDs. A simple device test strip for rapid and on-site detection of Cu2+ has been designed. The sensor has an excellent sensitivity and the LOD is 8.4 nM.
