Different forms of maltreatment/torture have different probabilities to kill. Forms concern arms, legs, trunk and head. The survival of the victim differs according to the maltreatment/torture employed. Sequels can be shown by diagnostic imaging methods. Governments impose definitions and shape public and scientific perception.
