We present P and S wave attenuation models beneath Harrat Lunayyir (Saudi Arabia). We use the t* measurements for events recorded during an unrest in April–June 2009. P and S models reveal the same high-attenuation zone in the upper crust. This zone marked by seismicity possibly indicates the pathway of gas output. The cause of the Lunayyir unrest is a volatile injection from a deep magma source.
