Novel online state of health estimation method for battery management system operation.

Differential voltage curves are used for capacity fade estimation.

The estimation is easy developed through obtaining of partial discharge or charge testing.

The method is validated based on datasets of 18 cells at both cycling and storing conditions.

Accurate results are obtained at cell and battery pack level within an average error of about 2%.
