The robust superhydrophobic PES coating was fabricated without fluoride. In-situ growth of SiO2 on MMT enhanced interface bonding force between particles. The wearing life of prepared coating is about 10 times longer than pure PES coating. The coating shows high protection efficiency (99.999%) even after 30 d immersion process.
