Central sleep apnea (CSA) is prevalent in HF and related to mortality. We analyzed the hypoxemic burden during sleep in HF and CSA. A percentage of the recording time that 4% desaturation events occurred (4%POD) is an independent prognostic marker. Assessing nocturnal hypoxemic burden has an implication for risk stratification.
