Polypropylene glycol used for organic solvent nanofiltration MWCO determination. HPLC-ELSD detection method developed giving 58 g mol−1 MWCO detection resolution. Reproducible MWCO curves for polar, polar aprotic and non-polar solvents. Method provides a cheaper alternative to the currently popular polystyrene method.
