This work presents a monitoring-responding method for membrane anti-fouling. The behavior of bio-foulants was studied during saline wastewater treatment. The membrane fouling was monitored responding to multiple environmental shocks. A quickly-responded countermeasure was used to reduce the membrane bio-fouling.
