The accuracy of JC–1 use in Bacillus thuringiensis is verified. Spores in B. thuringiensis act as an indicator for MP and cellular activities. DMA at 1 mg L−1 promotes cellular metabolism increasing TPT degradation to 90%. DMA enhanced cellular and spore activity, and ion and phospholipid metabolism. Coexisting DMA and TPT depress FA synthesis but increase membrane permeability.
