Gyphothamnium pinifolium was analyzed using high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC).

Aphyllodenticulide, 2-Nor-1,2-secolycoserone and ent-labda-8,13-E-diene-15-ol were isolated.

Compounds showed good cytotoxic activity (<50% cell viability at 100 μM).

X-ray crystal-structure is reported for Aphyllodenticulide for the first time.

2-Nor-1,2-secolycoserone showed the best cytotoxicity, (IC50 = 15.12 μM).
