Finite element model was developed to study nonlinear ultrasonic propagation.

Ultrasonic nonlinearity was used to study plastic damages in martensite stainless steel.

It monotonically increases with plastic strain loading due to dislocation evolution.

Results from simulations and experiments show a good consistency.
