A new functional monomer ANA which contains both N and S groups is used for imprinting Ni(II) for the first time. The Ni-IIP is prepared by the precipitation polymerization technique. The Ni-IIP shows excellent selectivity for Ni(II). The Ni-IIP shows an good performance in Ni(II) removal from industrial wastewater.
