The increasing weight ratios of PHBV/PLA blends enhanced denitrification performance. The proportion of low-molecular-weight substances corresponded to nitrate removal. Some new substrates containing hydroxyl groups were generated with hydrolysis. Dechloromonas was the dominant genus of denitrifying bacteria for PHBV/PLA blends.
