Structural transformation of an aluminophosphate and its proton conduction are studied.

The transformation of crystal structure leads to highly mobile proton carriers.

Its proton conductivity is 1.1×10−4 S cm−1 at 150 °C under anhydrous conditions.

The proton conduction mechanism is influenced by the structural transformation.
