Solid solution and precipitation strengthened Nb-Ti-Al alloys, was prepared in the present paper. It was found that by adding a few of carbon, heat treatment and aging treatment, uniform fine second phase particles formed. These find particles can obstacle the dislocation move at room temperature and high temperature. XRD,EDS,SEM and TEM were employed to analyze the microstructure and strengthening mechanism. It was indicated that the second phase are fine TiC particles which distribute uniformily.The alloy possesses high elongation and strength at high temperture. The relative mechanism associated with the strengthening was discussed.
