Effects of extrusion parameters on tensile properties of magnesium alloy tubes fabricated via hydrostatic extrusion integrated with circular ECAP

Hydrostatic extrusion integrated with circular ECAP was proposed.

High properties AZ80 Mg alloy tube was prepared by HECCAP.

Small diameter billet could be extruded into tube of larger diameter using the method.

UTS, TYS and EP of the tubes were 335 MPa, 308 MPa, and 7.2%, respectively.

A formula was proposed to calculate the total generated plastic strain for HECCAP.
