Carbon-doped titanum dioxide nanocrystals for highly efficient dye-sensitized solar cells

Anatase carbon-doped TiO2 nanocrystal was prepared in the presence of glucose. The nanocrystal has an excellent crystallinity and an improved particle dispersity. DSSC assembled from carbon-doped TiO2 has an energy conversion efficiency of 6.9%. A significant improvement of 35.3% is achieved compared with nondoped TiO2. The short circuit current and open circuit voltage are both improved.
