Catalysts with high Mn content exhibit high activity for CB combustion.

For all Mn–CeLa catalysts, deactivation due to Cl adsorption is observed.

Cl species can be removed through Deacon reaction and hydrolysis, respectively.

At 330 °C or higher temperature, all catalysts present stable activity.

High activity for Deacon reaction is critical to inhibit the deposition of Cl.
