A gear crack detection methodology based on blind source separation is proposed.

The bounded component analysis (BCA) is introduced to identify dependent information.

A new supervised order tracking bounded component analysis (SOTBCA) is presented.

The SOTBCA is able to accurately identify the crack fault vibration source.

The SOTBCA was compared with state of art technologies by means of experiments.
