Eicosapentaenoic acid abolishes inhibition of insulin-induced mTOR phosphorylation by LPS via PTP1B downregulation in skeletal muscle

EPA abolished LPS-induced deficiency in insulin-induced mTOR photophosphorylation in skeletal muscle. EPA inhibited LPS-induced AP1 and NF-κB activation and PTP1B transcription in skeletal muscle. Decreased LPS-induced PTP1B expression contributed to the effect of EPA on LPS-induced deficiency in insulin signaling.
