PLLA fibers were prepared via melt electrospinning with or without hot airflow.

Macromolecular orientation and crystallinity of PLLA fibers were investigated.

Hotter airflow with faster speed resulted in PLLA fibers with higher properties.

The prepared PLLA fibers would be useful for biomedical applications.
