Peach fruit ripening was examined under combined heat and 1-MCP treatment (HM).

Eight glutathione peroxidase genes in peach fruit were isolated and characterized.

HM treatment dramatically delayed the postharvest ripening process of peach fruit.

The ripe fruit were more sensitive to HM treatment.

PpaGPXs showed their regulating function in the late stage of peach fruit ripening.
