Relations among disgust sensitivity and drug use beliefs/behaviors were tested.
Sexual and moral disgust were associated with greater support for drug laws.
Sexual and moral disgust were also associated with lower engagement in drug use.
Links between sexual disgust and drug use were mediated by harmfulness beliefs.
Findings support the adaptionist perspective of disgust.
