A new copper(II) complex crystal based on Schiff bases of 3-nitrosalicylaldehyde was synthesized. The complex showed the strongest binding ability and high selectivity for hydrogen sulfide among other anions. The copper(II) complex exhibited effective and wide antibacterial activity and lower cytotoxicity.
