Effective As(III) and As(V) immobilization from aqueous solution by nascent ferrous hydroxide colloids (FHC)

Lower dosage of nascent FHC showed higher uptake of As(III) than that of As(V). As(III) could be effectively removed directly by FHC without a pre-oxidation step. Redox transformation of arsenic in liquid-solid phase was simultaneously explored. Mineral transformation of nascent FHC contributed to the As(III) oxidation.
