Tapered ZnO nanorod arrays were grown by chemical bath deposition.

With the coating of C QDs, the ON/OFF resistance ratio was improved over 100 times.

With the coating of C QDs, the device yield was increased from 15% to 90%.

The effects of C QDs were ascribed to the increased charge trapping density.
