Xylanase T-Xyn has a long suspected N-terminal extension. Hybrid xylanase T-XynFM showed special hydrolysis characterization. No xylose produced when hydrolyzed xylotriose, xylotetraose and xylopentaose. Modulating hydrolysis and transglycosylation activity by protein engineering.
