It is the first time to investigate the kinetics of catalytic co-pyrolysis.

A TGA was used to estimate the non-catalytic and catalytic co-pyrolysis.

The addition of plastics could decrease the activation energy (E).

Catalytic co-pyrolysis had a lower E than non-catalytic co-pyrolysis.

Co-pyrolysis is a promising technique for reducing the energy input.
