A numerical study of isotropic and anisotropic ablation in MCCI by MPS method

The MCCI experiments CCI-2 and 3 were numerically simulated by moving particle semi-implicit (MPS) method, which is based on less empirical models.

Models of phase change, viscosity of corium, slag film and crust dissolution were included in current MPS code.

The influences of gas generation, crust formation and dissolution and silica aggregate on MCCI were studied.
