We included canopy sun-induced fluorescence (SIF) in a Monte Carlo ray-tracing model. Comparison with a well-established radiative transfer model shows good agreement. We analyzed the mechanism behind the spectral and angular distributions of SIF. The anisotropy of SIF is an intrinsic property of the vegetative surface. SIF of a row structured canopy has distinctive angular distributions.
