Microstructure, growth mechanism and anisotropic resistivity of quasi-one-dimensional ZrTe5 crystal

Large size (35×2×0.5 mm3) and high-quality ZrTe5 single crystals are obtained. The as-grown ZrTe5 single crystals have “stacking stripes of wood” morphology. The large size ensure the measurements of resistivity along a, b and c- axis. Our results provide a solid basis for exploring the topological phase of ZrTe5.
