Low cycle fatigue properties of CLAM steel were investigated at 450 °C and 550 °C.

CLAM steel showed the continuous softening up to fail failure under cyclic loading. The degree of softening increased with increasing temperature.

Dislocation density decrease and subgrain coarsening during the test process were the possible reasons for the cyclic softening of the CLAM steel.
