Nutrient recycle from defatted microalgae for microalgae cultivation is evaluated. N and P can be recovered from defatted microalgae by hydrothermal treatment. Nutrient efficiency depends on reaction conditions of the hydrothermal treatment. Hydrothermal treatment at high temperature conditions produce anti-growth agents.
