We prepared a series of Ti–xPd alloys with Pd contents ranging from 5 to 20 wt%.
When the Ti–xPd alloys contained 15 wt% or more Pd, a secondary phase of Ti2Pd was formed among the 伪-Ti.
By alloying with Pd, the cast Ti–xPd alloys exhibited improved hardness.
160">Ti–xPd showed better corrosion resistance and higher oxidation protection ability than cp-Ti.
Ti–xPd alloy with Pd contents of 10 wt% could be a good candidate for dental casting alloys.
