Hierarchical Fe2O3 hollow nanostructures were synthesized by a solvothermal method. Fe3O4 hollow nanostructures were obtained from the phase transition of Fe2O3. Fe3O4 exhibited remarkably better Na storage performance than that of Fe2O3. The compact structure of Fe3O4 electrode can be maintained after cycling test.
