The extruded alloy consists of 〈〉 fiber, {
}[0001] and {
}〈
〉 texture components.
The texture evolves from [0001] to 〈〉 in tension, but reversely in compression.
The texture vibration is due to the tensile twinning and non-basal 〈a〉 type slip.
The LPSO and Mg5(Gd, Y, Nd) phases retard the texture evolution.
The fine grains, Mg5(Gd, Y, Nd) and LPSO phases, and texture strengthen the alloy.
