Effects of dietary protein and lipid levels on growth, body and plasma biochemical composition and selective gene expression in liver of hybrid snakehead (Channa maculata ♀ × Channa argus ♂) fingerlings
Protein requirements of hybrid snakehead were 50.5% (lipid level: 6.5%) and 47.9% (lipid level: 12%). Ability of hybrid snakehead to utilize lipid is low. High-lipid diets caused negative effects to the function of liver. TOR gene expression level in liver was significantly affected by dietary protein levels.
