文摘
Ambient air pollution was significantly associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes in China. Sulphur dioxide (SO2) was consistently associated with lower birth weight and preterm birth. Particulate matter (PM10) was consistently associated with congenital anomaly, especially cardiovascular defects. Results for nitrogen dioxide (NO2) were inconsistent. Further studies are needed on the effects of fine particulate matter (PM2.5), ozone (O3) and carbon monoxide (CO).
