Speed control of a long inclined belt conveyor is implemented. Daily energy reduction of about 12.2% is enabled due to speed control. Yearly energy saving of about 160 MW h is shown. €11,000 electricity cost and 90 tons CO2 emission are reduced annually. ECO method ensures safety operations of speed control.
