The osteogenic capacity of aECM-coated plates in a critical size bone defect is investigated. col/CS- and col/sHA3-coating significantly reduced the gap size after 4 weeks. col/CS and col/sHA3 also showed highest new bone formation. aECM-coatings have the potential to improve bone healing.
