Influence of Primary Combustion Components on Cold Light Fireworks

The glowing principle of cold fireworks was introduced. The influence of basic formulation on the regular physicochemical properties, display effects and burning capabilities of cold light fireworks was studied. The results showed that: The basic formulation had less influence on bulk density of cold fireworks; Hygroscopicity tended to strengthen slightly with the increase of nitrated cellulose, and decrease obviously after titanium powder was added into the basic formulation to form the cold light fireworks formulation; The display effects and burning capabilities with negative oxygen basic formulation were both better than that with the zero oxygen and positive oxygen formulation. In conclusion, the mass ratio of the best cold light fireworks formulation of ammonium perchlorate, nitrated cellulose and titanium powder was 11:14:24, the spray height 1.15 m, the burning temperature 553.9 ¡ãC, and the light intensity 1 078.4 cd. Moreover, there was no smoke, residue and peculiar smell in combustion.
