Graphene nanoribbons wrapping SnO<sub>2sub>@TiO<sub>2sub> are synthesized by a facile strategy.

The peculiar structure enhance the structural stability and conductivity.

SnO<sub>2sub>@TiO<sub>2sub>/GNRs composite attains 536 mAh g<sup>−1sup> at 3.0 A g<sup>−1sup> after 1500 cycles.
