Oscillations in the Indian summer monsoon during the Holocene inferred from a stable isotope record from pyrogenic carbon from Lake Chenghai, southwest China
Stable carbon isotope of pyrogenic carbon reflects Indian summer monsoon. Decreasing trend of monsoon during the late Holocene agrees with the previous records. Six centennial pronounced droughts correspond to low solar irradiance intervals.
