A new Re(I) complex with thiadiazole-annelated 1,10-phenanthroline was synthesized. The peak emission of Re-TDAP can be tuned to orange-red. Re-TDAP showed very short lifetime and good thermal stability. OLEDs based on Re-TDAP exhibited higher performance than that of prototype Re-PHEN-doped device.
