Crystallization of a high-strength lithium disilicate glass-ceramic: An XRD and solid-state NMR investigation

High-strength disilicate glass-ceramic with intertwined microstructure is studied. Structural changes are investigated in detail by XRD and NMR spectroscopy. 29Si T1 relaxation analysis implies two phases in all samples. Noticeable microstructural changes are present in the samples at 750 °C. The evolution of phosphorus species is studied in detail by 31P NMR.
