Inhibition of RhoC-ROCK signaling reduces the expression of HOTAIR. MRTF-A augments the expression of HOTAIR. The CArG-box in HOTAIR intron is pivotal for the activity of HOTAIR promoter. MRTF-A association with the CArG-sequence enhances the recruitment of RNAP II.
